The Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology (PANLAR), in collaboration with Congrex Americas and #MEET4IMPACT, has launched an impact-oriented strategic plan to address emerging needs in rheumatology health across the Americas. The plan prioritizes co-creation and social innovation methodologies, aiming to reduce diagnostic gaps, mitigate the social and economic burden of rheumatic diseases, and improve the quality of life for those affected. 

THE CLIENT'S MISSION

Bridging the gap in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases in the Americas

  • Reducing the social and economic burden associated with rheumatic diseases in Latin America

  • Improving the health and quality of life of people affected by rheumatic diseases in the Americas

CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

Facing geographic diversity and disparities in access to health care, PANLAR required a roadmap to address these issues and enhance innovation and collaboration in the rheumatological community.

 

 

The plan aims to reduce diagnostic gaps, mitigate the social and economic burden of rheumatic diseases, and improve the quality of life for those affected.

OBJECTIVES

THE PROJECT'S VISION

The plan proposes a synergy of strategic interventions aligned with education, awareness, and innovation, to strengthen PANLAR's capacity to lead advancements in the field. Moreover, its alignment with the SDGs projects a long-term impact on health and well-being, equality, and global collaboration. The strategic plan stands as a milestone in the history of PANLAR, promising to make an impact on the lives of those with rheumatic diseases and solidifying PANLAR's position as a leader in the specialty.

REFLECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES

Although the plan has just been launched, it is anticipated to bolster PANLAR's ability to lead in the treatment of rheumatic diseases, with constant monitoring to ensure the effectiveness of the implemented strategies. Moreover, its alignment with the SDGs projects a long-term impact on health and well-being, equality, and global collaboration.
