New guide helps associations use subvention as a lever for impact
Updated: 7 days ago
Conferli, MEET4IMPACT and GDS-Movement offer a practical approach to using the financial and in-kind support available from destinations.
Conferli has published Association Guide to Subvention: The Practical Edition for associations seeking to understand and make better use of destination support. Subvention may include financial contributions, services, venue access, local connections or other forms of in-kind assistance.
The guide draws on global research conducted with MEET4IMPACT and GDS-Movement involving 115 destinations and 55 associations. It helps associations identify available support, prepare a more strategic request and create value for both the event and the destination.
Subvention can support accessibility, sustainability, community engagement, connections with universities or local businesses, and outcome measurement. Expectations and responsibilities need to be clarified from the outset.
