Regenerative Management

SUMMARY

#MEET4IMPACT partnered with GDS-Movement to deliver a workshop series on social impact management and sustainability. We trained 19 people from 11 organisations on the importance of strategy alignment, impact management, and effective measurement, as well as integrating sustainability into the content.

THE PROJECT'S VISION

We conducted some modules of the training online and some in person. At the in-person training hosted at the ICC Belfast in November 2021, we conducted a Theory of Change workshop with the team, and we did an exercise to align the social priorities identified with the existing local priorities set by the local government. This work was invaluable, and led the VisitBelfast team to develop a more robust approach to improving the sustainability and social impact of events in their city. Visit Belfast won the GDS-Movement Innovation Award in 2022 for their impressive progress in using innovative solutions to drive performance against key sustainability outcomes. In 2023 Visit Belfast published an Impact Report to showcase their impressive progress over the past year. This includes the launch of their programme Changing the Menu for Good, which helps tackle food poverty in Belfast through business events.
